What is it all about?
libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, ARM, and PowerPC systems.
Key Features
* Improving colorspace which allows to compress/decompress 32-bit and RGB format (RGBX, XBGR, etc.), well-featured Java interface. * Designed to accelerate the codec operations (encoding/ decoding). * It's less powerful. however, much more accessible than libjpeg.
